Google Maps reveals a massive pentagram

Google Maps, typically used for finding directions or exploring places, sometimes reveals locations that send a chill down the spine. One such unsettling find is a mysterious pentagram located in Kazakhstan.

The location reveals an enormous pentagram with an impressive diameter of 366 meters. This strange symbol has been puzzling online communities for years, with many speculating that it could be the largest pentagram in the world.

While the pentagram is traditionally a symbol of protection against evil, when it appears upside down, it takes on a more sinister meaning. The upward-pointing corners are said to represent the horns of a satanic goat. It’s quite eerie that such a large depiction of this mystical symbol exists near the city of Lisakovsk.

The story behind the pentagram

However, there’s no need for alarm—the pentagram does not have a satanic background. This mystery was solved several years ago, and the explanation is less dramatic than some might hope. Archaeologist Emma Usmanova revealed to Livescience the true nature of the five-pointed star, explaining, “It is the outline of a park in the shape of a star.”

This so-called pentagram is actually a Soviet star, a symbol that was widely used throughout the region. These stars were commonly seen adorning buildings, facades, and monuments. As such, the eerie symbol on Google Maps has more historical significance than anything related to the occult.
